Hosted by The Friends of Valley Gardens, a local charity which helps to look after the beautiful park in Harrogate, the 1940’s day was another rip roaring success.
With a wide variety of stalls, tents and entertainment there was plenty to do and see for people of all ages. There was a great selection of food vans and cake stalls and also a beer tent.
A choir, singers and a big band had people up on their feet dancing away which was a great way for people to mingle and have a laugh. There were also military vehicles and vintage cars for people to admire and have their pictures taken with.
The weather held out and the sun was glorious for the Spitfire flyover which went down a real treat. Friends and families (dogs included!) enjoyed picnics and made the most of the lovely weather.
This event was another great success and the atmosphere was fantastic. A lovely way to spend a Sunday and raise money for The Friends of Valley Gardens at the same time! I will definitely be returning next year.
